St. Peter Catholic School welcomes new school principal Mr. Doug Jones. Originally from Perrysburg, Ohio, Jones has a BS in chemistry from Grove City College in Pennsylvania and an MBA from Boston University. As a U.S. Army Veteran, Jones served for 11 years as a Major in the Chemical Corps/Operations Research-Systems Analysis Branch.
Jones has 21 years of experience as an educator in a Catholic School in Mississippi, Texas, Ohio, and Alabama. He has served as a high school principal, theology, science, and math teacher, director of academic support, and dean of students.
Mr. Jones says he is excited to be here and is looking forward to a great school year ahead. “We at Saint Peter have the unique Catholic mission of helping students answer God’s call to holiness. We teach three additional “R’s”: religion, respect, and responsibility. Everything we do is focused through the lens of our shared Catholic faith,” Jones said while speaking to St. Peter Catholic Church parishioners.
We are excited to work with Mr. Jones at St. Peter and hope to cement a bond between our two schools that will link us together as students prepare to take the next step of their education toward high school and make John Paul II Catholic High School their next home.
